Description
Hand-woven from elephant grass and palm leaf by craftswomen in the markets of Kano and Katsina, in a technique passed down over generations. Each basket is one-of-a-kind — patterns and exact dimensions vary.
Approximate dimensions: 28–32 cm diameter, 22–26 cm tall (excluding handle). Use it as a fruit basket, plant pot cover, sewing basket, toy storage, or simply as a decorative piece.
Care: dust with a dry brush. If it gets damp, dry it flat in indirect sunlight — direct sun will fade the natural fibres over time.
